New Bedroom

Flew home this morning.  I’d been worried I hadn’t given the cats enough food and water when I left, so I drove straight home from the airport.  But, the cats still had food and water when I got home.  They were a little standoffish at first, but soon warmed up to me because they love to be pet.  I pulled out the vacuum to get some cat hair and litter off the floor and tripped the circuit breaker.  Found out I have two circuits for the 110 VAC.  I’d plugged into the 15A circuit (the other one is 20A), which also powered my internet modem, the microwave, the box fan next to my bed and the portable air conditioner in the shed.  The vacuum was just too much.  Plugged the vacuum into the outlet that was still working, finished up and then went outside to reset the breaker.  Yes, the breakers are on the outside of the house!

After greeting and feeding the cats, I lay down for a nap.  Slept for three hours.  Felt fantastic when I woke up.  Glad to be home again….

It’s the last night of this work trip.  One more night staying at the Northeast Sacramento Crowne Plaza.  I think this is my fifth night here, so it’s kind of like my second home.  Looking forward to flying back home tomorrow morning.

sleepy

After work today, I came back to the hotel room and took a nap.  Watching Big Bang Theory on TBS.  Seems like old times….

Sacramento

Back in Sacramento, California.  Lived here when I was in 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  Worked here several times.  Glad to be back for a week!  Last time I was in town, I drove around the old neighborhood to see how things had changed.  Today I was more inclined to recline, taking a short nap instead in the hotel room.

I’m outta there!

Finished cleaning the apartment in Kansas this morning, just before the move-out inspection.  Picked up the cats.  Stopped by the post office to file my change of address.  Then hit the road.

Now we’re in Tucumcari, New Mexico, at the Historic Route 66 Motel.  The cats are exploring the room.  I’m ready for bed.
