So, I woke up early again today.  I decided to sit in my comfy chair and finish watching Doc Martin.  I’d read there was a new season of the show, and was surprised to find out I’d already seen the shows from the last season on Netflix.  I like the show, but I just couldn’t stay awake.  I kept falling asleep during one episode and waking up during the next.  This went on until about 3pm, when I finally decided enough was enough and got up to take a shower and run some errands.  NOW I see the new season is number 7, and Netflix is only showing seasons 1-6.  Guess I’ll have to wait.

Watched two movies on Netflix concerning historical paintings, this evening.  First one was about the discovery of the prehistoric cave paintings in Spain, and the other was about the restitution of stolen Klimt paintings to a woman in California.  It would be easy for me to look up the movies for their titles, but that would make things too easy for you.  Good movies — I recommend them.  Now go find ’em!

WaterBoyJust added to Netflix — all right!  One of my favorite comedies, but it will have to wait until I finish watching The Grinder.

Got another Blue Apron box today.  Can’t wait to open it up and see what goodies I got!

So, yesterday I received a letter from my child sponsorship program.  Seems one of the two kids I sponsor has left the program to work to raise money for his family.  They’ve reassigned another child to me.  I suppose it isn’t unusual — this is the third time one of the kids has left the program.

Last night I started watching The Grinder on Netflix.  I think the show is hilarious, but for some reason it only lasted one season before being cancelled.

For years, I’ve heard about Freaks and Geeks from folks who’ve loved the show.  Lately I’ve become bored with the offerings on Netflix, so I started watching the show.  I was amazed at how many big names in Hollywood now were on the show back in 2000.  Most of the famous seem to have been the “freak” characters on the show — James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogan, Jason Segel and Busy Phillips.  But there were also a lot of other familiar faces, like:

Joe Flaherty, from Second City TV.

Thomas F Wilson, who played Biff in Back to the Future.

Joel Hodgson, from Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Kevin Tighe, from Emergency.

Leslie Mann, from This Is 40.

Steve Higgins, from Late Night and The Tonight Show.

Rashida Jones, from Parks and Recreation.

Jason Schwartzman, from Bored to Death.

Shia LaBeouf, Alan Covert, David Koechner, and Ben Stiller.
