Archive for February, 2017

So, someone sat on the Oval Office couch with her legs tucked under her ass.  Holy cow!  The way the liberals reacted, you’d think she’d worn her shoes while visiting the burning bush!  I’d hazard a guess that for the loudest critics, the Oval Office has become the burning bush.  These whiny-babies need to get over their candidate’s failed ascension to the holy Oval Office, and get on with their lives.  A couch is a couch, not an altar.

I can’t believe it’s almost the end of February!  Looking forward to this weekend, when Logan hits the theaters.  The X-Men has been one of my favorite movie franchises since it started.  I was hoping the drive-in’s season would start with this movie, because it had shown the last standalone Wolverine movies at the start.  The drive-in doesn’t open for another month yet, so I don’t think they’d start their season with a movie that’s already been out a month.  (Minor disappointment — until today, I thought the drive-in opened in two weeks.)  If they do start the season with Logan, you can bet I’ll be there.

Sad to see one of my favorite actors, Bill Paxton, died today from complications in surgery.

No, I didn’t watch the Academy Awards.  I wasn’t protesting or boycotting — I just think the show is lame, so I stopped watching it a few years ago.

Binge-watched Detectorists on Netflix.  Two seasons — I hope there are more added later.  I liked the show.  Had an everyday sense of humor like All Creatures Great and Small.  Never thought folks with metal detectors led such interesting lives!

Left work and walked home, the whole two blocks.  Sat down in my comfy chair with the music on and fell asleep until my daughter arrived for her weekend visit.  We had dinner at Applebees — first steak I’ve eaten in a while.  Came back to the apartment and fell asleep again.  Finally got tired of fighting it and said good-night.  For once, daughter stayed up later than I did.
