Oh, the possibilities, should I get that field service job ——–
One thing I used to blog about was barbecue (restaurants). Once again, I would be able to sample barbecue from around the country. I used to write about other restaurants I’d find along the way, too. In New England, I’d visit diners. In Oklahoma, there was also a small chain of diners in downtown areas of small towns that I’d look for (and barbecue). I almost always ate at Indian restaurants if I saw one at lunch or dinner. I usually looked for the small mom-and-pop restaurants instead of the large chains. Some people like the chains because they know the food will always be the same. They get some comfort out of that knowledge, but I like adventure!
Oh, by the way, I’ve found out I’ll be one of the judges again for my company’s annual barbecue competition next month. Looking forward to it, and hoping I won’t have to go on the road before the competition. I really enjoyed myself last year.
Another positive about going back on the road would be I’d get new pictures for my Flat Stanley photo album. I have plenty of places around here for Flat Stanley to visit, but as this is my home and see it everyday, I don’t usually take photos.
Well, I guess I’d better get going. Serving dinner at church to the homeless this evening.
